How does it work?

what to expect

Concept

We arrange to meet you to discuss your ideas, provide advice and give you an idea of timescales. We then return a free, no obligation quote so that you can decide if you want to proceed.

Design & customise

Once you’ve made your decision we discuss the design and customisation in more detail. All of our Garden Rooms and annexes are fully insulated, plastered and have power points, lighting, windows and doors but we can also look at eco solutions such as sedum roofs, plumbing, heating and decking.

The build

Book in your dates and let us go and purchase materials and place orders. Before you know it, we’ll be onsite getting your Garden Room built!

Do I need planning permission

In most cases, no. The main exceptions to this are if you live in a listed building or if you plan to build self-contained living accommodation.

To fit within Permitted Development planning rules, your Garden Room or Annex must be:

To the rear or side of your property (rear only if you are in a designated area such as the SDNP)
Single storey and less than 3m high (2.5m if within 2 metres of your home)
Within 2 metres of your boundary
No more than 50% of the total area of land around your house
Free of balconies, verandas or raised platforms.
